Canterbury Seed has traditionally been a strong trader of grain and seed commodities within New Zealand and around the world.

As well as the wholesale trading of grasses and clover, Canterbury Seed also now represents some of the world's most renowned cereal breeders in New Zealand where by we trial, multiply and market selected crop cultivars for production in New Zealand.

In addition our relationship with Luisetti Seeds and Plant and Food Research reflects our commitment to the development of New Zealand cereal grain varieties for specific end use customers whilst providing crop options for our growers.

Mark Burns - General Manager Commodities & Seed Grain Mark is a key member of the team with over 30 years experience in the grain and seed industry. He is responsible for commodities trading and working with our overseas partners on introducing new wheat and barley cultivars to New Zealand. Mark also manages small seed trading of common varieties of ryegrass and clover for export and multiplication of overseas ryegrasses for re-export.
