Grain & Seed Division

The grain and seed division of Canterbury Seed is now strengthened with the merging of Winslow's AGC (Ashburton Grain Consolidators) into the existing cereal business of Canterbury Seed. Together they are now one of the largest marketers of cereal grains in New Zealand supplying milling wheat, biscuit wheat, feed wheat, feed barley and triticale to a range of customers from flour mills to dairy farmers.

The grain and seed division of Canterbury Seed has experienced staff with expert knowledge of New Zealand's milling and grain industry with the ability to connect sellers and buyers effectively.

Chris Thomas - General Manager Grain Chris has over 35 years experience in the flour milling and wheat industry in addition to being a qualified flour miller. He was general manager of Westin Milling, Wellington before leaving to form Ashburton Grain Consolidators (AGC). Mike Smith - Grain Purchasing & Relationships Manager Mike has been involved in the arable industry for over 20 years, managing Canterbury flour mills for 17 years and being responsible for their marketing and raw materials contracting and purchasing.
