Based on the excellent growing soils of the fertile Canterbury Plains, Canterbury Seed is one of the largest and most experienced producers and exporter of pulses in New Zealand, consistently supplying products of premium size, colour and texture. Canterbury Seed is one of the largest producers of peas for vining/freezing and market garden/fresh varieties in New Zealand. With many years of experience we now have many varieties to suit all client requirements in New Zealand and around the world. We provide seed of the highest quality with purity maintained by a strict stock seed selection and maintenance programme, monitored by experienced field staff who are qualified inspectors for disease and genetic purity. Canterbury Seed Company is also a major producer of all varieties of field peas for both human consumption and bird feed.

Adrian Bliss - General Manager Pulses The Pulse division of Canterbury Seeds is managed by Adrian Bliss who has 33 years experience in the grain and seed industry. Adrian spent 8 years as the manager of the seed processing plant for Canterbury Seed and is now responsible for all Pulse production and sales.

Simon Fleetwood - Trainee Pulse Specialist New to Canterbury Seed, Simon is from a farming background. He has experience in grain and seed agronomy and his role at Canterbury Seed will be to develop into a pea production and pulse specialist. He will work with Adrian Bliss managing vining trials and small plot production for key customers as well working alongside the field reps to further his agronomy knowledge.
