Earlysile reduces dry matter and energy losses, improves protein utilisation, dry matter intakes and animal production.
Improved fermentation is increasingly being shown to deliver benefits even in good silage making conditions. University research has demonstrated that dairy cows fed Earlysile treated silage gave an extra 20.8 litres of milk (approx 1.4kg MS) for every tonne of silage fed over untreated silage, worth $7 tonne at $5/kg MS. Trials show an increase of 3 kgs of beef for every treated tonne fed over untreated. Silage fermentation trials also show that the aerobic stability of Earlysile treated silage is three times greater than untreated silage which means that silage is more stable when opened.

Earlysile represents the latest generation of silage inoculants, designed for use over the widest range of forage types and comprises four major features.

Water soluble: dried Pediococcus acidilactici, Pediococcus pentosaceus, Lactobacillus plantarum and Propionibacterium shermanii fermentation products, dried Aspergillus niger and Aspergillus oryzae fermentation extracts, dextrose, manganese sulphate. Powder: as above but incorporated with a calcium carbonate carrier. The formulation assures good flowability with no dust.
Earlysile can be used on all ensiled forage crops. For each type of crop treated, follow established and accepted silage management practices for proper crop maturity, length of chop, ensiling moisture content and pit compaction. Earlysile is available as a powder or water soluble formulation.
Water Soluble:
Mix one 500gm container of Earlysile in 200 litres of clean, cold or tepid water (below 20oc) water to treat 100 tonnes of wet silage. Uniformly meter 2 litres of Earlysile solution per tonne of silage at the forage chopper, silage blower or baler pickup using appropriate application equipment. Use an Earlysile solution within 36 hours of mixing. Rinse applicator after use.
Powder:
Each 25kg bag treats 50 tonnes of wet silage. Uniformly meter 0.5kg of Earlysile powder per tonne of wet silage at the forage chopper, silage blower or baler pickup using appropriate application equipment.
Earlysile will make good silage better; it will not make poor silage into good silage!
Contains live micro organisms. Store in a cool dry area in original packaging. To maximise shelf life store product in a refrigerator. Avoid exposure to high temperatures.
