A source of live, benefical micro organisms for efficiency improvements in calves. The digestive tract of calves is germ-free at birth but quickly becomes colonised by a complex microbial flora. During times of stress, pathogenic or harmful bacteria can dominate, resulting in digestive disorders and upsets. The daily consumption of beneficial organisms has been proven to improve the performance and health of calves.
Young calves are especially vulnerable in the first three weeks of life when passive immunity to disease acquired from colostrum is waining and their own immunity is still developing. Typically they experience feed changes going from colostrum to whole milk or calf milk replacer. Group housing protects them from the elements but exposes them to increased disease challenge. By improving health, the general hygiene of the calf pens can be improved, helping to reduce the challenge to future batches of calves. Therapeutic treatment with antibiotics and even feeding milk from cows treated with antibiotics can leave animals extremely vulnerable to invasion by pathogenic organisms after antibiotics leave the system.
Bio-Boost should be considered whenever calves are moved, groups mixed or their diet changed.
Older calves benefit from an increase in feed utilisation and reduction in pathogenic organisms.

Bio-Boost contains specific, carefully selected (for performance, stability and resistance to the most commonly used antibiotics) unique strains of:
Lactobacillus acidophilus - a bug which normally dominates the intestines and suppresses pathogenic activity but can be overcome when animals are stressed.Saccharomyces cerevisae - an EU Registered strain of live yeast which stimulates fibre digesting bacteria, binds to pathogenic cells and stimulates the animal's immune system.
Mannan oligosaccharides (mos) - fragments of yeast cell walls which bind both toxins and pathogens, facilitating their removal from the gut.
Lactobacillus acidophilis 2 x 108 cfu/g
Saccharomyces cerevisiae 2 x 108 cfu/g*
(*200 million colony forming units per gram)

Provides a specific, viable strain of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, the intestinal bacterium Lactobacillus acidophilis and a concentrated dose of the selected, bio-active mannan oligosaccharide sugars (mos).
For animal use only.
Withholding period:
Nil
For young calves - feed 5 grams per head per day. Add Bio-Boost to each feed of milk or milk replacer
For weaned calves - feed 5 grams per head per day. Add daily to feed, mixing as accurately as possible.
Animals less than 14 days old or those that are sick or receiving medication should be given double dose.
Bio-Boost contains live bacteria ... do not incorporate in feed prior to pelleting.
If animal performance does not improve please contact our Nutritionist for a comprehensive ration review.
Store in a cool dry area in original packaging and avoid exposure at high temperatures.
To maximise shelf life, product must be stored in a refrigerator.
Keep bag closed when not in use.
Keep away from children.
