High Fibre Performance Shipping Pellets

Specifically designed for cattle at sea, Winslow Feed's high fibre Shipping Pellets are formulated to condition animals in quarantine and maintain animal health during shipping. Careful selection and processing of raw materials, based on experience gained with voyages of up to 4 weeks duration, and feedback from shippers and receivers ensures:

• Good palatability - essential to encourage intake by animals stressed by new surroundings, temperature and humidity.
• High fibre, low starch formulation to reduce problems caused by individual animals gorging.
• Nutritionally balanced to maintain body condition with full mineral compliment to promote health.
• Ingredients to reduce the likelihood of acidosis and bloat.
• 10mm diameter pellets to encourage mastication and improve durability without the choking risk associated with larger pellets.

When fed with hay at 2% of bodyweight, Winslow Cattle Shipping Pellets will support weight gain in excess of 0.25kg/head/day (depends on animal live weight) which is important with growing stock.

Winslow Cattle Shipping Pellets are normally fed with lucerne and meadow hay to provide the long fibre (minimum 2.5 cm required for rumination) to keep animals content and healthy. A diet plan for the quarantine period and during the voyage can be provided and discussed with the First Mate prior to departure.

A good working relationship with Timaru and Napier Port staff and commitment to ensure ship's fodder is stowed properly and as quickly as possible helps shippers achieve departure times and eliminate problems at sea.
