Calf Pro 1 18% - Ideal starter feed for traditional milk systems

Calf-pro1 18% with NuStart. A palatable, high energy 18% crude protein formulation produced in response to requests from calf rearers that prefer to feed a little more milk for a little longer. Typically milk contains a minimum level of 24% protein in the dry matter and calf milk replacers often contain 26%, which is why Calf-pro1 18% is an ideal complement to the traditional milk feeding system. Calf-pro1 18% is rich in quality protein which ensures the needs of the calf are met whilst reducing the risk of protein over-supply which causes scouring. NuStart will assist rumen development and smooth the transition from milk to a pasture based diet, this has been proven by the independent trial results below that showed a good growth response in the 5 to 12 week period.

Feeding Recommendations

Winslow Feeds Calf-pro1 can be offered to calves from birth. Calf-pro1 is formulated to be fed at 1-2kg/calf/day to complement milk or a milk replacer. For best results it is recommended to then change to Calf-grow post-weaning. A full feeding guide is available on request. Calf-grow,in conjunction with good quality grass post-weaning, can be fed at a rate of up to 2kg/calf/day to achieve 0.8-1.0kg live weight gain daily.
