The Aqua Cow rise system is the safest, most effective way to help you cow get up and back to milking. Many tools available today for this type of circumstance can be dangerous and hard on the cow's body. With the Aqua Cow there is just warm water use to safely lift the cow to her feed and provide therapy to start the blood flowing and muscles working properly.
Often at calving cows can have a bad case of milk fever or damage to the body as a result of calving. This is where the Aqua Cow comes into play. Floating is not a medical treatment but provides extra therapy to help your animal recover faster and safely. The first step is to examine the cow and to decide if floating is the best option. Once the decision is made to float the cow, you need to start preparing the warm water to be pumped into the tank. As the water is warming the farmer can start to load the cow into the Aqua cow.

What do they think?
"We would not know what to do without it" is the feeling of Lindsay and Michael Copland after their first calving season using the Aqua Cow Rise System. Last calving season was a tough one due to the weather. The Coplands floated twelve cows and were able to save eight. One of the cows was nine years old and needed to be floated six times, on the sixth day she was back to normal. "Wefound it very effective with cows affected by nerve damage from calving and bad cases of milk fever. The warm water therapy is the key to the system." Michael would check the fresh cows early in the morning and if a cow was down he would call Lindsay to prepare the hot water. We use a gas system for water heating that would fill a 2800L litre tank in a little over an hour. "We found it important to be quick and get the cow in as soon as possible. By 8 - 8:30am in the morning the water was ready and the cow was floated. The Aqua Cow was set up out in a pasture so when the cow was let out she had very good footing and grass available to eat right away. "It was a learning process for us the first season using the Aqua Cow, but we are prepared for the next season and know exactly what to do and which cows are worth floating."
