CALM VARIO Automatic Calf Feeder

The latest and most sophisticated model in the range. One Standard Lely Calm Vario feeder can feed approx. 60 rearing calves or 30 fattening calves at 2 feeding stations.

The Lely Calm VARIO feeder is the user friendly, labour saving all in one unit with individual calf feeding. One unit can feed 2-4 drinking stations. The milk prepared, pre-heated in 0.25-0.5 liter portions for one drinking station at a time. Per calf the daily consumption can be set and will be monitored. The Lely Calm automatic calf feeder can tell which calves are not getting the preset quantity that day or the previous day. An automatic rinsing cycle with detergent is available in the menue as standard as well.

There are 3 models: milk, powder and combi. The milk version should preferably be connected to milk cooling vat with agitator and is ideal to make the best possible use of available collostrum or fresh milk. The powder version is a convenient way to raise calves. The powder gets automatically and accurately dispersed into the highly effective mixer jar. The water is pre-heated in a boiler. The combi joins advantages from both worlds and can switch to powder automatically when it runs out of milk, can fortify milk, or can use milk replacer only during a part of the rearing cycle or for convenience.
