The CALM SA PARALLEL FEEDER is equipped with four drinking stations. Independently (SA=Stand Alone) working, this model has a process contoller in the feeder unit where all management information is stored and available whenever you want to know something about any individual calf in the pen. Individual monitoring of drinking speed, visits, interruptions, milk/milk replacer consumption, days on the feed plan, time until next feed, etc. The machine has an automatic cleaning cycle for the heat exchanger and mixer jar, check lists for calves with consumption backlogs, as well as warnings for power cuts, low water pressure, calibration errors, etc. A wide variety of adjustable feeding plan settings are available.
Standard NZ Features

Each automatic feeder can feed approx. 150 rearing calves or 100 fattening calves at max. 4 feeding stations.
The Lely Calm parallel feeder is the high capacity unit with individual calf feeding. One unit can feed 4 drinking stations as standard. The milk is temperature controlled and very accurately metered with one dedicated high grade squeeze pump per drinking station. Per calf the daily consumption can be set and will be monitored with the help of electronic eartags. The Lely Calm automatic calf feeder can tell which calves are not getting the preset quantity that day or the previous day. An automatic rinsing cycle is available in the menue as well. Servo control for easy traning is standard.
There are 3 models: milk, powder and combi. The milk version should preferably be connected to milk cooling vat and is ideal to make the best possible use of available collostrum The powder version is a convenient way to raise calves. The powder gets automatically and accurately dispersed into the highly effective mixer jar. The water is pre-heated in a boiler. The combi joins advantages from both worlds and can switch to powder automatically when it runs out of milk.
