CALM AD LIB Automatic Calf Feeder

One Lely Calm ad lib feeder can feed approx. 60 rearing calves or 30 fattening calves at 3 feeding points.

The Lely Calm ad lib feeder is the user friendly, labour saving unit to replace the cumbersome bucket handling. One unit comes with 4 drinking points. The milk gets prepared in 0.5 liter portions and is kept at temperature all the time while waiting for a thirsty calf.

The powder only version is a convenient way to raise calves. The powder (milk replacer) gets automatically and accurately dispersed into the highly effective mixer jar. The water is pre-heated in a boiler and the milk is kept warm in the mixer jar. If fresh milk or collostrum is available a milk only version is the most economical to run.

With a combi version the machine can switch from milk to powder when the milk runs out. The milk ratio (= ration milk and powder) can be changed. One can start the calves for instance on a 25:75 mix and wean them on to milk replacer by changing settings.

Options:

• Dry / liquid additive (like electrolyte) dispenser
• Water level tank if local water pressure is below 2.5 bar
• 400mm hoper instead of 250mm increases the hopper from approx. 35 to 50 kg powder.
