Rumatain Dairy is a cost effective source of nutrients packaged into a palatable, easily stored and managable pellet. Rumatain Dairy ensures maximum utilisation and efficiency, complimented by Winslow Feeds' comprehensive rationing service.
Rumatain Dairy is formulated from a range of carefully selected, digestible raw materials all of which are carefully chosen to drive rumen function, animal health and performance. The unpredictable nature of the weather, pasture growth and quality, often means that when high pasture utilisation is needed, cows will not be eating to maximum efficiency. By supplementing their diet at key times with Rumatain Dairy, performance goals will be able to be achieved cost effectively whilst still maximising grass utilisation.
Winslow Feeds production staff always strive to ensure Rumatain Dairy pellets store well and resist breakage, maximising their attractiveness when presented to the animal. The grinding, high temperature and pressure processing that Winslow Feeds & Nutrition use results in improved utilisation and maximum response for the animal. A range of feed sources such as sugars, starch and digestible fibre help to deliver the all-important energy to the rumen bugs over an extended period, thus reducing the the chance of digestive problems. In addition, Rumatain Dairy includes Rumensin‚ which improves rumen health and the efficiency of feed utilisation.
The sophisticated "Dietcheck" computerised feed rationing programme used by Winslow Feeds & Nutrtition is available to all customers. Rumatain Dairy is typically fed at 1 - 2 kg/head/day and contains 0.5% magnesium and 0.75% calcium. Individual rationing based on the forages available ensures that additional supplementation can be recommended or discontinued as necessary.
| Energy (MER MJ/kg/DM) | 12.5 |
| Crude Protein % | 13 |
| Crude Fibre % | 12 |
| *Rumensin | 1.5kg/kg |

Ideally Rumatain Dairy should be fed immediately post-calving after feeding Rumatain Pre-Calver up until calving. Typically fed at 1 - 2 kg/head/day until the end of the breeding season or in late lactation if condition gains are required before drying the cows off.
